October 2015 Newsletter
This is our first monthly installment of the BCNC Newsletter. This first newsletter is a summary of the centre, as you may have not been here for a while. Future editions will have health tips to improve your health and well-being.
Bergamo Chiropractic and Nutrition Centre is a natural multi-disciplinary centre that opened in 2000 and houses seven health services and three testing procedures. We have recently launched our new website which can be found at www.bergamohealth.com.au. It provides details on the seven services: General Chiropractic, Paediatric Chiropractic, Chiropractic Neuro-Rehabilitation, Chiropractic Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Nutrition, Myotherapy and Remedial Massage. It also includes three testing procedures: QEEG, Pondera/Balance and Footlevelers.
The Centre houses two General Chiropractors – Dr Paul Bergamo and Dr Reta Suliman, a Myotherapist – Daniel Catalano and a Remedial Massage Therapist – Bonnie Barnes. Paul has also completed a postgraduate Graduate Diploma in Nutrition from Deakin University and has lectured nutrition to Chiropractic students for nine years at RMIT University and offers a Functional Nutrition Service at the centre. Paul has also completed the two-year postgraduate Carrick Neurology program and conducts the Chiropractic Neuro Rehabilitation service. Reta has completed postgraduate Paediatric studies and offers a Paediatric Chiropractic service. The glue of the centre is our reception staff Arienne, Rita and Stephanie who provide a welcoming smile on your arrival and help attend to any personal requirements.

- Encourage good neural function and help with neuroplasticity (brain and nerve function)
- Resolve breastfeeding issues and colic, if the cause is related to a baby’s neck being subluxated.
- Promote balance and vestibular development as a child moves to a standing, gravity dependent person
- Help a child be the best they can be. Check BACKchat podcast Episode 6 for more information here with our interview of Dr Genevieve Keating on Positive Neuro Development from baby to a child. https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/backchat/id972497993.
Q3. What is the QEEG?
QEEG refers to quantitative analysis of the electroencephalograph, or in other terms, analysis of electrical activity in the brain. It is an advanced neuro-diagnostic technology that measures the different frequencies of electrical activity generated by the brain. Quantitative EEG , in simple terms, is a brain map.
